To lead effectively, one must unite rather than divide. The Gender-Balanced Leadership Program brings together women and men to foster mutual understanding and enhance collaboration. Utilizing gender diversity has been shown to increase profits by up to 27% (McKinsey), and our program serves as a vital complement to leadership programs designed exclusively for women.
Throughout our program, you will learn how to create an inclusive workplace that capitalizes on diversity. With a deeper understanding of yourself and others, you will also develop a Leadership Diversity Plan.
Content Highlights
The Gender-Balanced Leadership Program engages both men and women in a secure setting where they can listen to one another, comprehend different viewpoints, and collaboratively establish the foundations for a more inclusive workplace. The momentum is building in three steps:
DAY 1 — Step 1: Explore biases and their impact
Recognizing the need for change
Raising awareness of unconscious biases
Discussing the effects of biases on careers, innovation, and profitability within organizations
DAY 2 — Step 2: Appreciate differences in leadership styles
Valuing both genders' strengths
Examining similarities and differences between male and female leadership styles
Aligning styles with future workplace leadership expectations
Using personal leadership assessments to enhance leadership skills
Recognizing interpersonal abilities
Creating a personal growth plan
Pairing up to learn from each other and provide feedback
DAY 3 & 4 — Step 3: Leverage Strengths
Fostering effective partnerships between men and women
Experimenting with strategies and techniques to find common ground
Building mutual trust and engaging in courageous conversations
The program is intense, with each workshop spaced a month apart to ensure complete integration of the learnings. There are two follow-up sessions scheduled three and six months after the final group workshop to exchange experiences, reflect on real-life job situations and challenges, and receive extra tools and support as necessary. Additionally, the program features on-the-job assignments and coaching from peers and ZEST experts.
